Why when I invite someone to have access to my already active Ring device is it asking her to “set up a new device”
How do I add a user so that two parties can get ring notifications
Hey neighbors! Your friends and family can be added as shared users via their email address. Please ensure they’ve created a Ring account using their desired email, and send them the invite via the shared user section in your Ring app. Upon signing in, they should see your location/ device as “shared” in the drop down, or be able to accept your invitation if necessary. Have them check their email as well, for any confirmation.
You’ll be happy to hear that multiple shared users can be added to your Ring devices!
mijn ega heb ik als tweede maar iedere keer als ik kijk of verschoon dan moet ik haar opnieuw in voegen wat moet ik daar aan doen ?
Good question @arie51! Once a shared user is invited, and accepts the invite, they should have access. This access should not change unless they remove the device from their side, you remove the device from your app, or you remove them as a shared used. If none of these occurred, the shared user should remain shared to your device.
Check out our help center article about shared users for additional steps and information. I hope this helps!
Hi, I’ve invited a new user and he has set himself with an account. The invite email doesn’t land in his inbox (or junk/spam). I’ve sent the invite 3 times now and triple checked the email address. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi @yogijudi, happy to step in for Marley here. You may want to have your Shared User check their spam filters to ensure there are no filters blocking Ring emails from coming through. If that is still unsuccessful, I’d recommend you give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here.
