I was doing an install for a customer who wanted a Ring Doorbell Elite installed at his gate. Problem was it was a 500ft run from the doorbell location back to the switch. Standard max distance is 330ft for Cat6 cable. I called ring support to see if this would still work or if i would need to install a switch halfway to boost the signal. They recommended a switch but i plugged the entire spool which was 550ft into a switch and the doorbell just to see if it would even power up. And it did!!! Functioned completely normal no dropouts or anything. So just wanted to post this in case you come across a really long run. 550ft worked for me without needing a switch halfway down to boost the signal.
