A new user here. I seem to have connected to 5Ghz on my router - I also have 2.4Ghz. I also have 2 range extenders in the house - one within 15 feet of the door bell. I do not thik I got a choice as to which frequency to use. How can I try our 2.4Ghz please? Do I need to delete the door bell from my app and reinstall?
Good question @devdeep! From the network side, it is best practice to have a unique name for your 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. This way when you connect, you can be sure which frequency you are connecting to.
From the Ring device side, you can check the connection by visiting your Device Health in the Ring app. You may also “change networks” in Device Health, allowing you to choose between the 2.4 and 5 ghz. Keep in mind, only the Doorbell Pro is compatible with both network types, while our other Doorbell models are 2.4 ghz only. I hope this helps!
