1 chime / 2 ring doorbell 2

Is it possible to connect 1 chime with 2 Ringdoorbell 2?

1 doorbell on frontdoor

1 doorbell on backdoor

Hey @Gerh. You definitely can! You will want to make sure you go into the Ring app and link both Doorbells to the Chime once all three devices are setup. Once setup, you will need to do this one Doorbell at a time, but go into the Ring app > Main Menu > Devices > Doorbell > Linked Chimes > and set a chime tone to be linked for Motion and/or Dings, and then you’ll be all set!

When I set up the chime for the 2nd doorbell, it’s no longer set up for the 1st one. Help?

Hi @throgmar. If your Ring Chime is no longer chiming with either one of your Doorbells, you will want to verify it is still linked with your Doorbells in your Chimes settings. To do so, follow these steps:

  • Launch the Ring app.
  • Select the menu button (three lines, top left).
  • Tap Devices
  • Choose your Chime.
  • Select Audio Settings.
  • Select Chime Alerts.
  • Enable the bell symbol for the Doorbells and hit save on the top right.

You can also try rebooting the Doorbell that is no longer chiming with your Chime. Another step you can try is to power cycle your Ring chime by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in to see if it helps.
