Sudden poor video quality - not Wi-Fi issue
All of a sudden in the last couple of weeks the video on my doorbell has been awful quality. Can’t make out who people are so it’s pretty pointless if I’m honest. Checked and moved the Wi-Fi (virgin media fibre) and it hasn’t made a difference. Anyone have any advice? Funnily enough it coincided with the monthly price increase so I’m tempted to cancel.

Mine is doing the same thing. I can tell who it is when their right at the door, but if their walking past my house 5 feet away, I have know idea who it is. I live on a dead end, so know one I don't know should be walking past. Even if I zooming it just gets worse. Lmk if you found a fix. It's not my wifi and it's hardwired. Thanks

Hi, have a look at my previous thread that appears to have similar symptoms and timeframe: https://community.ring.com/t/video-compression/141761 Compare the yellow wall rendering and the grass. When there’s any movement, the blockiness is worse, reducing the detail.

Hi, I seem to have a similar issue. Since I installed the ring pro 2 it has experienced pixelating issues, generally the video quality is good but occasionally when someone approaches pixelation occurs not throughout the whole picture but in certain areas. RSSI is -46. Upload speed is 9mb and download is 36mb running on a 2.4ghz network, no issues with any other devices. Have tried hard reset along with uninstall and reinstall ring app, have also reset the router. Even tried bringing the doorbell inside and powered it off another ring adapter right next to the router with RSSI of -33 and even then the exact same issue occurs. Other than this issue the ring Pro 2 works seamlessly so far, with instant notifications and live view access etc. Did anyone come up with a fix?
