Solar Charger Works Better in WInter
I found something very interesting. I have had a Ring doorbell and solar charger for a few years and the winter months I gain more electrons to recharge my battery than the summer. My Ring Camera is on my garage and in the summer the sun rises much higher in the sky ( I live in Maine). What tends to happen is the sun rises where the sun is really "behind" the solar panel. But in the winter the sun is lower in the sky so the rays of sun tend to hit the solar panel far longer than in the summer. Right now my battery is at 75-80% charge. In the summer (mid July ) I only get a max of 65% but typically I have noticed around 62%. I was expecting summer to be better but now that I think of my units orientation, this makes sense.
