Ring video wired burning out transformers

I have a ring video wired doorbell wired directly to a NEW 16v 30va transformer that keeps killing the transformer after a short time. There is NO mechanical chime in this circuit, only a ring wireless chime. Why is this happening and why is there no written instructions from ring on how to fix this? It shouldn't take 3 hours to install one of these devices. So far I am very disappointed in ring.
