Ring Video doorbell transformer compatibility 10V5VA

As mentioned in the subject I was looking to see if the transformer in my house is compatible for hard wiring the doorbell. It's a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd gen). Not to be confused with the Ring Video 2. The transformer in the basement is stamped with 10V5VA. I can't seem to find the answer so I'm hoping someone here can help.

Hi @Frank88. The Video Doorbell 2nd Generation can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for continuous charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). As long as the transformer in your house fits those requirements and the chime kit is [compatible](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210644123-Ring-Video-Doorbell-1st-generation-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List), you should be good to go! :)
