Ring Video Doorbell 1st generation won't enter setup mode

I've had my Ring doorbell in use for one year and recently I noticed it was no longer connected to wifi. I have recharged it several times during the year and even done setup mode a few times in the past and it always worked as the app instructed. "press orange button, swirling light begins around doorbell button and you are in setup mode." However, now when I press orange button the doorbell light just blinks slowly about five or six times then stops. I performed a hard reset, no difference in behaviour. I followed these instructions, but there is no other factory reset that I see here: [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000125086-Ring-Video-Doorbell-1st-Generation-Setup-Mode](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000125086-Ring-Video-Doorbell-1st-Generation-Setup-Mode) Does Ring offer a warranty of longer than a year or do I have to try to open it up and try to repair myself? If anyone else has had this problem and has guidance I would appreciate. I took a little video of the behaviour I can post if it will help.

Hey there, @stoneyj! It sounds like you've covered all the best steps for this to work. Just to ensure the proper reset was performed, this is done by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. Despite the light behavior, try a setup in the Ring app to see if it will complete successfully. If this concern persists, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. You can extend your devices warranty by subscribing to a [Ring Protect Plus Plan](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021900312-Ring-Protect-Plus-Information) while the original warranty is still active.

Thanks Marley\_Ring, i had done the proper reset and I ended up needing a support call. I think it had something to do with needing a firmware update preventing it from entering setup mode and they have helped me.
