Ring Video Doorbell - 1080p HD video and solar

Installing my solar kit that fits around door bell and having issues. I understand I don’t use the 4 corner screws anymore that new solar plate need to be mounted with tiny center screws… question-1 My new solar plate only has 1 slot for center screw. How am I to hold the down bottom of that same plate? Question -2 anyone ever place a steel washer in that slot fr that small center screw? seems flimsy thanks
