Ring Doorbell & solar charger not charging batteries
I have 3 of the Ring Doorbells, all of them are connected to the solar charger which is suppose to start charging once the battery hits 93%. I have them all installed in places where they are in direct sunlight for more than 80% of the day. I am constantly having to unplug the doorbell and charge them manually them plug them back up every 6 - 7 days. Evidently the chargers arent working. I thought about purchasing the larger solar panels but im very hesitant because of the performance of these chargers. They were supposed to be plug and play basically. If anyone has suggestions im open to try them. Need help

I’m now having the same problem. However I don’t think the problem is with the charger. I swapped batteries and it charged from 93% -100% then didn’t start to drain until after sunset. A few days later the battery drained down to 82% and charged back to 100% then drained down to 20% during the week. So I swapped batteries again and it went from 96%-99%. Once the battery drained again without charging I brought a new charger and the same thing happened. It’s charging and maintaining the charge until night time then once it drains the battery doesn’t charge until I swap them out.

Hi neighbors. The Solar Charger for your Ring Doorbell requires at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day to provide your Doorbell's battery with a trickle charge. I'd also recommend making sure the Solar Charger is properly installed and there is nothing obstructing it from receiving direct sunlight. You can find some more information and troubleshooting steps for your Doorbell's Solar Charger [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061517732-Solar-Charger-and-Solar-Panel-for-Ring-Doorbells-troubleshooting). DMy Solar charger with the Battery Doorbell Plus gets more than 6 hours a day of direct sunlight. Only once has it charged when the battery dropped below 90%. All the other times the battery charge is when it don't drop below 90% before sunrise. It charges and maintain100% battery until sunset. That’s the opposite of what it should do Perhaps a firmware update is needed for the doorbell

I recently purchased a solar adapter for my doorbell and it wasn’t charging until I loosen all the screws some. The screws were too tight that the battery was difficult to install and remove. I’m not sure if that was the reason or the screw connecting the wires but my doorbell battery was fully charged after 2 hours with indirect sunlight
