Ring doorbell pro (Wired doorbell plus / Video doorbell pro) with mechanical chime problem
Hi All,I have suffered from this for a while, but I still don’t know what is the right way to solve this issue. I moved to this house and previous owner has ring door bell pro (Wired doorbell plus / Video doorbell pro). At first, it works with mechanical chime but it is not working after a few times.I try to solve this problem and found from reddit that my transformer may not be enough power to supply ring video doorbell as well as mechanical chime. So, today I replaced my old transformer hoping that it works well now. However, the mechanical chime doesn’t work again.I saw one other article saying that setting up from the ring app like this: @user44195 Thanks for sharing that picture. I don’t see anything that looks like it could be preventing the chime from ringing. One other thing to check is the In-Home Chime Setting in the Ring app, under Device Settings. Ensure the Chime Type is set to mechanical, and the Ring in-home Chime is toggled on. If those settings are correct and the chime is still not ringing, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. If you are outside of the US, please visit here to s… But at least from my version of the product, I don’t have any options like in-home chime settings. So, any ideas on that? I talked with ring agents and she suggested me having new ring chime installed instead of using mechanical chime. Do I really have to go that way?

I finally figure this out. I am not sure why but I didn’t see these options before but…Now, I can see from the ring app in dashboard → Front door (I did put this name) → click the setting button → Device Settings → In-home Chime Settings → Chime Type changes to Mechanical. However, I did check this several times before, but couldn’t find this option. So, perhaps, after I changed to larger transformer AND/OR I did rebooting doorbell pro. Note that you can do reboot from Device Health → Reboot This Device. Anyways, I solved this problem now!
