Ring doorbell night light

I have a Ring Video Doorbell (Release 2020) which is hardwired. The app confirms this. Shouldn't the doorbell light ring be lit so it can be noticed in the dark? I can't remember if it used to be lit or not. Did setup again but that didn't help. I would think that being hard wired it would light up like any regular doorbell that has a light.
