Ring Video Doorbell
Ring door bell 2 cannot connect everytime i change battery
My ring doorbell 2 cannot connect everytime i change the battery. It started a couple of months ago. It will connect after a few hundred of retries and it will work until i change the battery again. This time i give up. I keep on getting the white flashing light on the left. i have ring cameras and alarm also and all working fine. I am not sure what is the problem. I had this i think for almost 5 yrs already. any help would be appreciated. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have the same issue, except I am not getting the white flashing light when I pressed the reset button fully charged battery. I have a double charger. This problem is really making me Think about changing to another brand.

Hi @koolitz. Approximately how far from the router is the Doorbell? We usually recommend a distance of 25 feet or less, as it may be harder to establish and maintain a connection at farther distances. As for troubleshooting steps, I'd suggest performing a full reset by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. After the reset is complete, walk through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device. If you run into errors trying to complete the new setup, we have more troubleshooting steps [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217240386-Fixing-Repeated-In-App-Setup-Failures) for setup failures. Should this issue persist after trying the above, please follow up with our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Contact-Us) for more in-depth assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
