Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Battery Doorbell 24VDC power supply
Hello, I've been trying to hardwire my new ring battery doorbell to a 24VDC 625mA power source, an LED driver, I've checked that there's 24VDC across the terminals at the doorbell but the doorbell is not recognising it as a power supply. The new battery video doorbell is listed as working with Rings own 24VDC 420mA power supply, is there something I've done wrong here or does it not work on a DC supply?

Hi @user_f3e679. The Battery Doorbell is not compatible with third-party DC power sources. Both the Ring Plug-In Adapter and Din Rail Transformer are designed to work with the Battery Doorbell, so it is safe to use them. If you'd like to use your own transformer, it must be 8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz.

Update to anyone who might stumble across this post, not that I've got anywhere with it yet, but ring have conflicting information everywhere for this doorbell in particular. It's listed as "Yes" for use with the din rail mounted 24VDC transformer on their wiring guide page. It says "no DC transformer supply" on the products own page. And if you go on the ring official din rail mounted 24VDC transformer page on Amazon you get a pop up saying "compatible with your ring battery video doorbell 2024..." Seems like ring don't even know if this thing can take that power supply.
