Hi @user51960. Your Ring Doorbell will detect motion as long as it is connected to wifi and you've set up your Motion Zones. It's also important to verify that your [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-with-your-Ring-Devices) cover the areas you want to be notified about motion in. Review your [Modes settings](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-of-Your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes) to ensure you have not turned motion detection off during a particular Mode. After checking all your settings, you can try triggering a test event at night by walking up to your front door. If the Doorbell detects you, this confirms that the motion detection is working as expected. In that case, it’s likely that there is not a lot of traffic at night compared to during the day, so you are not seeing events at night.
