Ring Video Doorbell
Mounting question from Ring 2 to 3
I recently purchased an upgrade of my Doorbell 2 to 3/3Plus. I was surprised the mounting hole pattern is different. Not sure about everyone else but I am mounting my ring to brick. Why do I have to drill NEW holes? Seems stupid to me. Why Ring cannot develop/sell an adapter plate? I drilled holes in the angle plate that utilizes the Ring 2 holes then mount the 3 to that base? Doesn't seem like rocket science. If they move a few things around in the angle base may save others a similar headache. See picture. Apologize for glare.

I will be facing the same issue. Just ordered a 3 and have a 2 installed right now. What did you use to drill the holes in the ring 2 angle plate? Any special drill bit?

Hi @Clavman. You may be interested in the No-Drill Mount for the Doorbell 3 and 3 Plus. This will allow you to install the Doorbell without having to drill new holes as long as you're installing it on a flat surface. You can learn more by taking a look at it on our website [here](https://ring.com/collections/accessories/products/no-drill-mount-rvd3). I hope that helps! :)
