Legality of Ring Doorbell privacy issue?

I live in a condo complex that has a shared hallway entrance with my neighbor as our entryway doors are abutted next to the other. I want to install the ring doorbell and am being told by condo association board members that it may be illegal to video or record in the hallway because of privacy issues. The hallway entrancewayis considered a common area as are thewalkways, parking lot ect..... Does anyone know what the law is in Florida reg a regarding this
