  Hi @gssahani! Smart move on checking on the compatibility of your chime kit, this is often overlooked! After checking in our [Chime Compatibility List](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/209028546-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List), it does look like the NuTone LA174 is not compatible. You could wire your Ring Pro [Direct To Transformer](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022454432-Wiring-Diagrams-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Setup) or you can [Bypass](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005974466-How-to-Bypass-your-Internal-Doorbell-with-the-Pro-Power-Kit-V2-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-) your chime kit altogether. The alternative to these would be to purchase a chime kit that is compatible. Let me know if you have anymore questions about hardwiring your Ring Pro!

  Hey @gssahani. Chiming in for Tom here! I recommend looking at that Chime Compatibility list that Tom linked for you, and you can swap out your current chime kit for any of the ones that are listed as compatible for the Doorbell Pro. :)

  Hi @Tom_Ring, I have bought and installed the Ring Doorbell Pro before knowing that it was not compatible with the Nutone LA174 Model. I have tried to bypass the chime with the use of the Pro Power Kit. Since the Nutone doesn’t have a Trans Screw, I was confused where to attach the wire. Any advice would be much appreciated. The older models of Ring worked just fine with this chime, so It is slightly infuriating that the newer models do not work. Attached is the wire setup.

  Hi @user_d30ad1. This Help Center article here has information on how to bypass your chime kit. Essentially, you are looking for a wire that goes from your doorbell and to your transformer. These two wires will go in to the Pro Power Kit. I hope this helps.
