If I subscribe to have my doorbell recording tomorrow, can I see who was here from today?

I kept putting off paying a subscription to record all motion and rings. Someone rang my bell and was here this evening while we were away and our dog went missing. We came home to the door not being fully shut. If I pay for a subscription tomorrow, would I be able to see the ring from this evening when we were away?
