Doorbell won't fully charge

My Ring Doorbell won't fully charge. I have had it plugged in using the cable that came with the device for 3 days and it is still only 80%. The blue charge indicate circle light turns off after 30 seconds. If I hold the cable in to the USB port it lasts for a minute but eventually turns off.
