Doorbell or stick up cam

Hi all, I’m looking for a bit of advice. I want to install something on the front of my parents house so they can see who comes to the door and speak with them, hardwire is not an option and budget isn’t great so I think would you recommend the basic ring camera or go for a stick up cam battery as they are both the same price.
