Doest it work with peekhole??

I just had a phone call of over an hour with ppl from Europe. No answer. Question: Does any of the products work if I put it straight behind a peekhole of a door. This being I don't want other's to see if I'm recording because I love on an apartments building. I can't use the footage. But me being a tendant of the building I need more security. I've been molested enough that I want some personal proof and security. So can I hang a camera straight behind one of those peekholes and still have it perform the way it should? Kind regards, Dylan
