Change notification sound outside on doorbell
Hi So just installed my doorbell. Very excited. It plays merry Christmas through my Amazon devices which is great but I want it to play something more fun outside when someone presses the bell. How do I change it ? I can’t find a setting in the app.

Unfortunately, you can't change the notification sound on the Ring doorbell itself for outside visitors right now. You can only customize the indoor chime and the notifications on your phone. It's a popular feature request though, so hopefully, Ring may add it in a future update. You can adjust the sound for chimes and smart speakers, but you can't change the sound of ring doorbell that rings outside.

The tone coming from the Video Doorbell itself cannot be changed, but can be lowered. While logged in on that Ring app, visit your Video Doorbell device page > tap Device Settings tile > and select General Settings. There you will see a volume slider for the outside sound. You can then have a Ring Chime play different tones from inside the home.
