Battery drain whist hard wired please help

Hi guys,I purchased and installed a video ring 2 doorbell on 20th March 2022 and got it replaced on 29th Oct 22 due to severe battery drain. Now the same thing is happening. From fully charged on 29th Oct to today, 24th Nov, its at 9% and been plugged in continuously. I've followed all the recommended steps and nothing seems to work. I thought it might be wifi connection so i purchased a chime doorbell. Well that did nothing until i stuck it in a socket right behind the front door and now have rssi of 54-58, green, when it was 60-71and in red. But I still get severe battery drain.I removed most of the settings and now only record 20 sec videos, special alerts are off, sensitivity is only a quarter of the bar and sensor area is only from my doorstep so on average have between 6-10 recorded events a day.As mentioned before the ring doorbell is hard wired with the correct adapter and i even bought another adapter and rewired thinking it could be faulty but I have no change.I have even put black duck tape on the red sensors on the side so it cuts down on detection at night.I'm at a loss now to what I'm doing wrong.
