App auto open feature, please

In doing a search of the forum I have learned that the app on my phone or PC does not automatically open showing a live view when someone rings the bell. I feel this would be a huge improvement as by the time a user opens an app and goes to the door the person could leave. An for some reason I read that if to tap on the notification on the phone it should go to a live view, on mine nothing happens. To me, this is no better than an ordinary doorbell
