Stick Up Cam Battery not detecting motion through windows. Regular Indoor cam is fine. Any ideas?
So I just set up a new Stick Up Battery cam I bought over the holidays. I set it up pointing through a window. However, it does not detect any motion at all. Live feed works fine, when I turn it around and face it inside it works, but absolutely nothing through the window. As part of my troubleshooting I moved it to another location and placed it inside another window literally right next to a regular plugged in Ring Indoor Cam. Still nothing. I can walk outside and stand 2 feet from the camera and it does not detect anything through the window. Meanwhile, the regular plug in cam can reliably detect motion and identify people 40+ feet away through the exact same window. I also have a bunch of $15 cams from Wyze that face through the same windows and they all also detect motion 40+ feet out. But the much more expensive Ring Stick Up, nothing. I see a couple of threads from 2020 and 2021 mentioning the same thing but none of them mentions a solution. If my Stick Up Battery Cam broken or are these just garbage and use a different type of motion detection than the other Ring cams and simply can’t detect anything through a window?
