Is there any reason that I cannot put a Spotlight-Cam indoors? I want to put a camera in my crawlspace to keep an eye on things. Is there any issue with the camera clarity or heat buildup? An indoor cam would be fine, but I have zero lighting in the crawlspace and would like a decent view. I’m afraid that nightvision might not be clear enough.

Hi @garskoci. The issue with putting a Spotlight Cam in your crawl space is the Camera height; it should be at least 7 feet off the ground for the Motion Detection to work correctly. I think a crawlspace would be to low, and the Motion Detection on it would not work correctly. Plus, the wifi signal might not be great either in a crawl space.

Thank you! You are correct. I have maybe 3-1/2 feet down there. But, that may be OK. My first concern is water. Finding some sort of critters shacking up down there would be nice. But, just might be enough if I watch it.
