Hello @iBush138 , I wouldn't be too concerned about mounting your Floodlight cam at not exactly the recommended height. The recommended Mounting Height takes into account several factors and is a 'balancing trade-off' trying to optimize detection, field-of-view, security, surrounding obstructions, etc. Although I do not own a floodcam, I use several outdoor Stick-up cameras, with some mounted at the recommended height, and some mounted slightly higher and some slightly lower. You are able to adjust/swivel where the camera 'looks' and with your settings adjust motion detection. I think you will discover your camera will be just fine. One of my cameras was mounted intentional lower. It resulted in better facial videos (less "top of their heads") and increased the camera's detection range (because I had to adjust the camera aimed more horizontally vice downward). But your other motion detector (that controls the light's ON & OFF) range will be slightly decreased from it's maximum range that it would have had if mounted higher, a trade-off. And because it is mounted lower, I ensure that surrounding obstructions minimize restricting the field-of-view. I wouldn't be too worried about the thief of your camera, now that is is lower and easier to reach, because if it is stolen then Ring will replace it for free (with an accompanied police report).   Thank you Boone. Other concern is if my fence will get in the way of the motion sensor. I have attached pics.
