Hello,I’m appalled Ring cameras have no way to customize recording schedules. Motion Schedules only address turning alerts off while recording. I actually want my camera and alerts on at night and off in the daytime. For example, my grandmother has Sundowner’s Syndrome; she confuses day and night. Sometimes she wanders around the house late at night or early AM often not recognizing where she is. With a customized schedule, my indoor camera could alert me of her motion through the app without waking everyone else up. Or, if there is a break in; I can see a stranger in the app video and contact the police.Due to the lack of custom scheduling within the Ring app, I had to purchase additional motion detecting night vision cameras just to alert me when there is motion in the house while we’re sleeping. It was easy to set up a customized schedule and I get alerts on my phone. Why can’t Ring do that? I’ve never heard of a security company that does not have the option for customers to customize a schedule that fits their needs. Also, theres generally someone home during the daytime, so; having cameras on during the daytime is a nuisance because we have to go back and delete several unnecessary videos of us walking by all day. That’s why Motion Schedule alerts don’t help my situation. I just want the cameras to come on while we are sleeping and turn off every morning. It should be standard for Ring to allow their customers to create their own schedule. This is very frustrating.Smileyface
