Floodlight Cam Wired Pro keeps turning light on with no motion detected

I have a bunch (8+) of Ring cameras, mostly wired, all working fine, with one exception: a lone Floodlight Cam Wired Pro has started turning its light on at night for no apparent reason.  I've gone so far as to disable motion detection, and after I turn its light off, it just immediately turns it back on. There is no video recorded for these events - just the light turns on for no reason I can see. There's nothing in the history for that camera.  No critters (e.g. spiders) in the field of view - they're all dead, as it's < 30F out. I've even rebooted the camera (via the app).  No change. This camera has been in use for over a year with no issues.  There have been no recent changes to the configuration.  I have another Pro that's working fine. Ideas for fixing this? Thanks... Update: If I go into Device Settings / Light Settings, and disable Motion Activated Lights, the problem goes away, though now I have a Pro camera with no ability to detect motion and record video.  So, while it does appear to be related to motion detection, there is no motion that should be triggering this.  There are no bushes or trees in the field of view.  No insects.  Nothing that should be continuously triggering the light. ...and, it occurs to me that we've got snow on the ground, and the cam points downwards, so my suspicion now is that the (static) snow is somehow triggering the motion detection.  I guess I won't know for sure until it melts.

Hi @MushyMiddle. The camera and the lights on your Floodlight Cam have separate ranges of motion detection. This can result in the lights coming on with motion that the camera does not detect. You can adjust the sensitivity for this motion detection specifically under Device Settings > Light Settings > Light Sensitivity. It's also definitely possibly that the snow reflecting any ambient light is triggering the motion detection, so you may see this issue clear up when the snow melts.

Hi Caitlyn_Ring, I have more information on this problem, that is still occurring (2/18/2025). When my Floodlight Cam's have there "health check", everyday (At different times), the lights come on, and stay on until the light is turned off, or the camera is rebooted. I feel that this is a firmware problem with the AC powered Ring Floodlight cam's.    My other battery powered Ring flood light cam's do not exhibit this problem.   Please send this feedback to the appropriate department. Thank you.

Hi @user_4ad260. Thank you for sharing! Our team is investigating and working to resolve an issue impacting the lights on the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus not adhering to the selected Light Settings. I don't have an update to share at this time, but I recommend always keeping your Ring app updated to the latest version.

Same problem here in Hawaii (76 degrees F, 80% humidity). It's been happening for about 2 weeks. 2 of my ring flood light cams (Wired) light up during the day at random times. Mostly between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. I have motion detection turned off during the day! My battery powered Spot cams do not show this problem. I found this article on Reddit forums  https://www.reddit.com/r/Ring/comments/1i3dh05/ring_floodlight_plus_bug_turning_on_at_random/ Same issue. When the lights are on, the Ring app shows them OFF. I have to turn lights on in the app, then off in the app to turn off the lights. I hope Ring fixes this bug soon, not very energy efficient.
