Cover plate Screw on too Tight

I need to change the Wi-Fi on my Ring device. The first step is to remove the cover plate. I cannot get the cover plate off as the technician that installed it put it on too tight. I’m using the special tool that came with my Ring device. I also sprayed some DW 40 on it. Any suggestions?
