Car Cam interior infrared affects sensors
negative-feedback

Just FYI all... after some tests, it seems the interior infrared lights affect the sensors for auto high beam headlights (if you have that option). My sensor is behind the rear view mirror (2018 Challenger). Because of the lights and wide field of view, the infrared light hits the sensor, making the car think there's an oncoming car, so the high beams never turn on. If i shut off the front cam with the flap, the auto high beams start working again. The only solutions I can think of, until Ring gives the ability to turn off these lights, is to either keep closing the flap anytime I drive when it's dark (although that defeats the purpose of having an interior cam), or cover up the infrared lights with some sort of electrical tape or something. Kind of ridiculous in such an expensive dash cam. Debating returning it.
