Cannot Press Reset Button ... What to do?

My floodlight camera is mounted up high, so resetting it basically means a $90 handyman call. Is there any other way to get the camera into setup mode? I have two cameras, so if the answer is no, it may be time for a different brand/model of security camera....

Is the device already on and connected to the internet? Ring support may be able to do that for you. Typically they won't. Perhaps if you explain and get an understanding rep, they have to ask their supervisor to do it....

Hey @R4TPRIZE. At this time the only way to get your device into setup mode is to press the setup button at the top of the camera. I completely understand where you're coming from in this situation and will pass this feedback onto the appropriate team for you. In the meanwhile, if your device is online and requiring a reboot, our support team is able to do that remotely for you if you're able to get into contact with them here. If your device is offline and not automatically reconnecting after 24 hours, you will need to go to the Device Health page of your Ring app and select "Reconnect to wifi." From there, it will prompt you to press the setup button, which can only be done on the physical device and not remotely at this time.

This is a horrible design. I have no way to get to my floodlight without calling a handyman either. If I'm calling a handyman it's going to be to remove and return my floodlight. Please fix this design! I love my Ring products but this is a horrible design for a floodlight.

Hi neighbors. In order to put your Ring Camera or Doorbell into setup mode, you will need to access and press the setup button on the device. If your Ring device is still connected to wifi, you are able to reboot it in the Ring app following the steps [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-How-to-Reboot-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-from-the-Ring-App-). A reboot can help with different technical issues that may arise, but your device will need to be connected to wifi in order to be rebooted from the Ring app. Otherwise, you will need to follow the steps here to [reconnect](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network) your device to wifi. Thank you for your continued feedback and input.

This is not a solution, @Caitlyn_Ring, please do not mark it as such. The fact that there's still no way to factory reset your devices without physical access is extremely poor design, particularly when the platform has bugs that only a factory reset can fix. After 2 years of this issue remaining unsolved I have no confidence Ring will fix this, but please don't disingenuously mark a problem solved when it obviously is not.

Precisely, "Hey friends go hang from your roof and push a button" isn't a solution. I paid someone to mount my cameras at the appropriate heights/vantage points and I'll have to pay someone to come out and press a button if I don't want to break my neck climbing up on almost the highest rung of the tallest ladder I own. Luckily I found the little paper that had the tiny QR code to even connect, otherwise I'd have to climb up to get the number off of the back of the camera (which I had to do the first time a camera that was thankfully within reach went offline). Twice in the last two months the same high camera has disconnected from the internet - once when it was directly connected to my wifi and now when it was connected to my Chime Pro extender. This is poor design, having to climb up and physically push a button on a camera after installation. Please don't respond with the same unhelpful retort Caitlyn.
