Can I use extension cord with indoor pan-tilt stick up cam?

I'm using a stick up cam with a pan-tilt mount indoors. I purchased the Ring indoor power adapter to plug into AC. The cord is a little short for where I need to put it. Is it okay to use a 3-foot extension cord attached to the adapter/barrel plug to get the length I need?
