Do I get refund for changed billing cycle?

We have an annual plan for the doorbell which ends in Jan next year. We also just installed a new indoor cam and we just need a monthly subscription because we only need two days to check how our cat is doing. After subscribing, our billing cycle for the annual plan also changed to monthly and will charge me next month. This seems odd so I wonder if I’ll get refunded for the rest of the original annual plan? We likely will change back to annual plan once this month ends. It is really inconvenient for occasional subscription.
