The Ring App is the ultimate destroyer of battery life

So I'm on Android and even when I crank down the battery settings for the Ring App, it's still always the number 1 or 2 power consumer on my phone. Even more than apps I actually use. This even occurs when the ring app is closed and I haven't touched it all day.
