cameras popping open when I am in ios app

Recently, when I go into the iphone app, one of the camera views will pop up if there is activity on a device. This takes over the app and disrupts what I am doing.For example, I'll open the iphone app and will be looking down my list of devices. All of a sudden, one of the cameras will pop open and start playing the live view (e.g. my kids playing in the back yard).Is this a setting? Did I accidentally turn this on? How can I turn it off? Thanks!
