Spotlight Cam Pro Not Working

Question

My Spotlight Cam Pro last recorded on 6/11 at 10:00 am. It now says it is not connected to WiFi. I have turned my router off and on several times. I have followed the steps to reset my camera at least ten times. It states it is connecting to WiFi, gets stuck at 95% and fails to connect. I called tech support and they were not able to assist after over 30 minutes on the phone. I see MANY complaints about this issue but no resolution. I have the same wifi in the same location. WiFi strength is strong and set at 2.4. This camera was installed last summer and has worked perfectly until 6/11. How can I get the camera back online or get a replacement? I am very frustrated with seeing the same advice to reboot my router and reset the Ring camera over and over. This does NOT solve the issue! Absolutely nothing has changed in my set up.

Hi @user_f29b72. I would suggest trying to connect your Spotlight Cam to a WiFi hotspot. This will let you know if there is an issue with your network, such as security settings. Additionally, try to annotate if you see any light patterns on your device, as this could indicate what the issue is. You can also try connecting the device with another phone or tablet. Let us know how this goes for you.

I have had the same problem my my video doorbell (2nd gen) since 6/17. I have snooped my wifi traffic and find that the ring never sets up the IP after it gets one from the DHCP server. This is a dhcp client issue in the current firmware.  One hack I found wss that Apples hotspot has a max compat setting and....my ring can connect to that. So I have a way to upgrade the firmware as soon as a fixed version is available.
