Protect Plan - Ring Alarm "Partially Covered"?
I have a Ring Protect Basic Plan for my Doorbell Pro. I also have a Ring Alarm. In my Plan page, it says my Ring Alarm is “Partially Covered (Digital Features for Alarm)”. What does that mean? I just tried the help call line and she was completely unhelpful, just kept saying that it wasn’t covered at all, even when I clearly said that’s what Ring’s own page says its partially covered. Unfortunately she did not appear fluent enough in english to truly understand me. I’m just looking at adding a z-wave water valve and want to know if I can use Auto Close with my current plan, or if I need to upgrade to the Protect Plus plan. Hi @trj1470. Having the Basic Plan allows you to use your Ring app to Disarm and Arm your Ring alarm and keep its history, but it does not include Professional Monitoring or Cellular Backup. That is why it says partial coverage. Also, you will be able to use the Auto Close feature for the water valve with your Basic Plan. There is no need to upgrade.
