Motion Detectors/Entrance Delay

While away armed mode is on and a door with a sensor is opened and there is a motion detector, does the alarm sound immediately when motion is detected or not until the entrance delay ends? I just got a security system and live in a townhouse, so I don't want to annoy my neighbors by triggering the alarm.
