Ghost sensor tamper
false-alarm
Hi, Every few days my back door sensor has recently been claiming it has been tampered with, immediately resets, then says tempered with again…and repeat. It only wants to do it in the middle of the night and, of course, the alarm goes off waking me and the street up. The sensor seems fine, properly fixed and there has been no tampering. Any ideas folks?

The should not happen as long as the Sensor is not being opened. Check the mounting area for any obstructions and ensure this is mounted on the indoor side of the door. Please also check the area at night to see if outside cold temperatures might impact a sensor mounted here (unless it is an Outdoor Contact Sensor). If the cover is on tight and the Sensor is on an interior door, our support team can take a closer look at this for you.
