Defective Siren

Hi I have a defective siren which was delivered from the ring alarm pack.It works via battery mode (D-Cells) but plugged in it is not recognizing the DC adapter, I’ve proved the 24v output from the adapter so it has to be a problem with the siren itself. What is the process please does anyone know? I’ve sat on hold for ages via telephone.**strong text**
