Battery problem with Contact Sensor v2
Hello everyone :smiley:I bought a Ring Alarm Contact Sensor v2 in June, and I have a battery problem with it. As soon as I put batteries in (2 2032 batteries), after 24 hours they run out. I have changed batteries 3 times (6 batteries in total) and the problem is the same. :sleepy:After calling the hotline, we reset the sensor (by pressing the little button with a paper clip), removed the hardware from the base and then added it again. But the problem is unchanged and after 24 hours the batteries are dead again (8 batteries in total).Does anyone have a solution?Note that for the moment, the sensor is just sitting on a table since it was unpacked. It does not suffer from a problem of installation, nor from exposure to heat or cold. Thanks for your help :relaxed:Matheo

Hi @Matheo26. Since your sensors exhibited the same behavior after being reset and placed next to the Base Station, there may be an issue with the Contact Sensor. I would follow up with our support team so they can provide you with the next best steps. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times.
