Ring Video Doorbell
Wired Video Doorbell 4 suddenly won’t hold a charge
It seems that a recent firmware update to my Ring Video Doorbell 4 has caused the battery to discharge to the point where it was under 50%. This is unacceptable as I have had to decrease the sensitivity of the device such that few updates were received or recorded. Ring needs to correct this software deficiency as it seems to have happened repeatedly to others over multiple years and revisions of software.

I have done all the things mentioned including turning off snapshot capture and decreasing the sensitivity of motion detection. I believe that the software / firmware has been updated by Ring and that is the cause of the increased power consumption. Can the software be rolled back to a prior version that didn’t cause this problem?
