troubleshooting
Hello people I want to upgrade my Ring video doorbell Gen 1 to Ring Video Doorbell pro 2. My current Ring Video doorbell Gen 1 is hard wired with a 8-24VAC transformer, Can I use the same transformer for the ring video doorbell pro 2, 8-24VAC or do I need to upgrade the transformer to 16-24VAC. Considering the old Transformer is rated at 8-24VAC it should still be ok to run at 16-24VAC, considering the range on the old transformer has a range of 8-24VAC. please can someone clarify for me. Thanks

Hi @Guggsy. The old transformer should be adequate, provided that the Volt Amps are at least 30VA. This information is usually stamped on the side of the transformer.
