Ring Video Doorbell
Snapshot quality worse than video quality
I recently purchased the chime pro to improve my doorbell camera quality but now I can see that the intermittent snapshot quality is much, much worse than the video quality. I liked the idea of snapshots to capture better images but only once per minute, but it turns out the snapshots are unusably bad. Is there any way to improve this quality considering the camera and signal are capable of doing much better?

I have the same issue. I have good signal quality and RSSI of 53, yet I can't read vehicle license plates that are only 3.5m away from my door in the snapshots, yet in the live and recorded video feed I can. The difference in quality is huge. The video of the snapshots that I downloaded from the Ring app has a resolution of 640x360. So there's no need to question RSSI or time of day. 640x360 resolution will never be HD.

Not sure why your snapshot photo quality would be worse. It is at least as good as video quality. Have you checked RSSI level? Are these snapshots at night or during day? What is the lighting situation?
