Ring Video Doorbell4 and Blurry Start To Recordings

I've replaced an older model with the Video Doorbell 4 and have noticed that the first 4 seconds or so on recordings are very blurry and then it adjusts to be perfectly clear. Signal strength is very good and there are no non operational incidents in any of the reports. Could there be a video setting that needs to be adjusted? Doorbell is hardwired with a removeable battery.

What you're describing sounds like it may be the [Pre-Roll feature](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038650731-Understanding-the-Pre-Roll-Feature), which will capture motion four seconds before a motion event is triggered. This is made possible with a small series of low-powered cameras. When the Pre-Roll feature is enabled, these low-powered cameras record up to four seconds of video in a rolling buffer on the camera’s local memory. Pre-Roll is enabled by default in the Ring app, but can be toggled on and off in the Video Settings screen within the Ring app. I hope this helps clear things up! :)
