Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Pro - Color Night Vision fails
I have checked app settings and color night vision is selected. What happens is the unit will be in color night vision but if someone gets close enough to the doorbell, it sounds an audible click and switches out of color night vision, turning on the bank of red LED's and it stays in black and white. The only way I can get it to return to color night vision is to drop power. That is the only way I have found to make it switch back to color night vision. If I do that, it switches to color night vision but that is only temporary until someone again steps in front of the doorbell camera and ir dtops back to black and white. And I can't stay up all night dropping power. I have verified the power at the doorbell is 24v. The transformer supplying the power is rated 24v 40va. I do not believe lack of power is not the issue. Status from the phone app shows 4107.0 mv. There is no internal mechanical chime connected. All power is straight through from the supply transformer to the doorbell. What can I do at this point?

Hi @Gadgetman69. The color night vision should stay on when you have it toggled on, and it will apply to the Live View as outlined in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038559351-Understanding-Color-Night-Vision). I would recommend performing a reset on your Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. Once that's done, you'll want to set it back up in the Ring App by following the steps under Set Up a Device. If this concern persists after the reset, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). They'll be able to take a deeper look at your account and your Doorbell to determine the cause of this. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. Feel free to report back on what solution works or what our support team recommends, as it may be helpful to other neighbors with similar concerns! :)
