Ring Doorbell is picking up cars as people
I have my RIng Doorbell set to notify me when people walk by and not when cars pass by. However for the past week it is picking up the cars passing by and labeling them as people. So I am constantly getting notified. I haven't changed any settings on the doorbell. Anybody know how to have it stop recognizing cars as people

Why would ANY of that apply? I too, have been having that issue only within the last week, or 1-1/2 weeks, when it has been working perfectly for more than 5 years! Why should I have to "play with my settings" now?

UI can only imagine there was a recent firmware update, since my doorbell has had no issues for years but is suddenly doing this as well. I know the original post is older, but it seems to happen in spurts

Hi @tln7477. You might find some helpful information or tips in my guide to optimizing your Doorbell's motion detection [here](https://community.ring.com/t/caitlyn-s-guide-to-optimizing-your-doorbell-s-motion-detection/48107/2). That guide will go into more detail on all of the settings you have available to fine-tune the motion detection on your Doorbell. If you have [People Only Mode](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032947972-Refining-Your-Alert-Notifications-with-People-Only-Mode) enabled, you may also try disabling it to see if that works better for you as everyone's home and environment is different, so you may need to play around with the settings a bit. :)
